A classic car workshop in Sydney run by petrol heads
Peninsula Sports Cars has been providing classic car servicing in Brookvale, Sydney, for more than 32 years. The team are local car mechanics that spend most of their time in the workshop & plenty at the race track. A classic car garage that loves all brands of sports, performance, luxury and race cars across all makes and models.
Instead of dealing with young kids straight out of TAFE that churn over basic oil changes everyday, you can talk to a team of experienced vehicle mechanics who live, breath, eat and sleep classic sports cars – everything from essential servicing to engine rebuilds, suspension upgrades or even race track modifications – a team of car enthusiasts that are petrol heads.
"Knowledgeable, transparent and very experienced trades people. Undertake works with absolute integrity.
Highly recommend the team."Peter Holmwood Nov 2025
"I took my 33 year old Morgan to Peninsula Sports Car Service for a full service after importing the car from Scotland.
The team at Peninsula were awesome - very professional, honest and pragmatic. Darren (the boss) and Darren (the mechanic) were both brilliant and took the time to explain some of the issues with the car but also ways to avoid massive bill shock.
The team also undertook some ice blasting of the rust generated from 30 years of being in Scotland. What a transformation."Mark McLellan June 2025
"Darren and the team are the best in the business! Extremely knowledgeable and reliable, they get the job done efficiently with great customer service. Highly recommended."

Engine rebuilds
We carry out engine rebuilds in our workshop and provide a choice that includes reconditioning an engine to factory specifications or preparing it to go racing.
Engine performance tuning
The team can help with improving the performance of your vehicle either with engine tuning, upgrades or modifications. To measure the improvements to customer’s cars we have access to both chassis & engine dynos by appointment.

Engine restorations
If you own a classic sports car the chances are you will be thinking about restoration at some point. Either you want to improve reliability or add value to your vehicle. Either way, our team can help restore your engine to its original condition.
Gearbox rebuilds and upgrades
The old days of a manual gearbox are slowly becoming a distant memory. Luckily our team loves a good gear stick and are experts at doing gearbox rebuilds for road or race vehicles.
Or if you want the best of both worlds, ask us about upgrading your old gearbox to a modern, smooth, reliable unit. We have many kit options available

Suspension upgrades
Sometimes the best way to improve on an old car’s suspension is to replace it with an upgrade kit. In other situations, it is more important to restore the original vehicle’s set up for restoration purposes. Our team can help assess, recommend and install suspension on your vehicle.
Mechanical restorations
Our team loves getting their hands dirty doing restorations of mechanical parts, especially for classic vehicles. Anything in the engine bay, electricals or other mechanical components we can restore to functioning condition.
